i noticed all these “wish lists” on the daily rox-pages. keep on wishing, folks, maybe i’ll pick up some ideas! some hints though: yes, i’m gonna play quite a lot of rox songs. some songs are very dear to me and since i only sang on the demos (before marie made them “her own”) i’d love to have a go! and yes, i’ll play some cookies from TWATG and SOAP of course. and yes, 3 or 4 from PC. and no, no Swedish songs this time!

How about something from the Heartland Café?
Maybe thera arent a lot of great songs on that album but "Kiss from a stranger" could be nice or maybe "even if it hurts (it's allright)??
Not the best party songs maybe...

I would love to hear alot of TWATG cause that's one of his best albums of all time. He has to put in some SOAP ofcourse, he really should play the whole SOAP medley, that would get the crowd goin'.

I think it' s hard to read and remember so many songs so I have only one or two wish song/s:

LITTLE MISS SORROW
and / or
SOMETHING IN THE SYSTEM - but driving Rox version

Fantastic songs to be performed live in a small hall or a bigger club.

I hope for driving danceable popy-rocky party with lots of guitars, 80's dance sound and crazy fans. Ballads are good but I prefer sound of crashing guitars for live show . Wink

Cinnamon street
I have a party in my head (I hope it never ends)
Hey Mr DJ
Are you an old hippie, sir?
Waltz for Woody (the best piano-based song I've ever heard)
Brilliant career
Burned out heart

And maybe somthing from The Lonely Boys? E.g: Keep the radion on, I wanna be with you, Apple in the mud or Genius gone wrong.

It'd be quite hard to fit my wish list in one concert only but after some deletes here and there this is what I came with

From Party Crasher

Gut Feeling
Silly Really
The Party Pleaser
Kissing is the Key
Sing Along
Hey, I Died and Went to Heaven

From TWATG

Do You Wanna Be My Baby?
I'll Be Alright
Kix
There Is My Baby
Saturday
Stupid
T-T-T-Take It!

From SOAP

Jo-Anna Says
C’mon
Hey Mr DJ
I Have a Party in My Head
Something Happened Today

From Roxette

7Twenty7
A Thing About You
Dangerous
The Look
Joyride
Come Back (Before You Leave)
Church Of Your Heart
The Big Love
Paint
She doesn’t live here anymore
The Heart Shaped Sea

Other

Always Breaking My Heart
Jimmys gitarr (Spegelboll)

Any Roxette songs will make me happy but SDLHA and The Look are a must !! Anyway, I have the feeling we will get new versions for most of the Rox songs. Looking forward to it !

@Tev: I still cannot imagine how Hotblooded would sound sang by Per !!!

It wasn't an easy task.

I was sitting until 4 o'clock in the morning and all evening today, I was sorting all amazingly good songs and tried to combine them all to my personal wish list of party feeling songs. This list had around 50 songs in the beginning and I would be happy to be allowed to hear them all. Then, dear Per could add some 2 hours more to the show. Party is party so it should last to the early morning, isn't it? Wink

But I don't want to be selfish and I care about Per and all his company (i'm a good girl) Smile. So I cut away (with big pain) some songs from my long list and tried to leave the best ones. I hope you will like it too. Smile

et voila:

I sorted them according to Gessle's music projects, so...

Let's start with the Party Crasher album which I thought should open this fantastic show. My wishes are:

Party Pleaser
Silly Really
Gut Feeling
Thai With A Twist
Sing Along

Next.. TWATG project:

Do you wanna be my baby?
T-T-T-Take It!
Wish You The Best
- (a very special song, for me it is the best out of TWATG. Next reason: Would be nice to hear it on my and my love B-day) Smile
Elvis (Per) in Germany (Let's Celebrate!) - (Per in Poland, Let's Celebrate!) Smile Very good party song
I Want You To Know or Saturday

Alright....So now "Son Of Plum..." The hardest task for me because it's my fav Gessle solo album and I never skip any song from it. It Was not easy to sort them out but I had to leave inside only those songs which (I think) will keep the party mood. Here they are:

Jo-Anna Says
Hey Mr DJ (Won't You Play Another Love Song)
Something In The System
- but please the BHD version Smile
I Never Quite Got Over the Fact That the Beatles Broke Up - amazing great song! I would like to hear it very much. Smile
I Like It Like That
Burned Out Heart
or A Girl Like You
Come Back Tomorrow (And We Do It Again)

And now time for some Rox songs:

Call Of The Wild - (I know it's maybe not the most fav song of most fans but for me is very very special and somehow it's my big wish to hear it live in a new accoustic version).
She Doesn't Live Here Anymore - this song does not need any comment... Everyone knows why. We all want to hear it. Smile
Stay (At Work, At Home, At Play) - And this is my next big big wish...I love this song!
Oppottunity Nox - without a doubt! Smile
It Hurts - the only song which really makes me cry every time when I hear it and I love this kind of sadness! THE BEST BALLAD EVER... Please Per, sing it for us!!!
Little Miss Sorrow - next perfect sad/consoling song. Perfect in every way!
Make My Head Go Pop - exellent, fits a party atmosphere
One Wish or Reveal?

And maybe some songs from other projects?:

I Wanna Be With You
Jupiter Calling
Blue Umbrella

I was thinking about some covers too, for example: Ramones, The Beatles, The Kinks..etc. But I'll leave this decision up to Per and his company. It would be great to hear Per singing songs of his idols and for sure it would be a very big pleasure for him too.

And in the end a last big wish:

I know no swedish songs but just one, just one song, a "super extra" song, I mean this song:

Lycklig jul - (ok X-mas song, but who cares? Is damn good!!!)
If it cannot be sung in swedish so maybe there is a chance to make an english version for us? Wink It's such a powerful song, so...exciting!
Smile

Thank You!!! Cool Wink

Stupid
Kix
Elvis in Germany
Wish You the Best
T-T-T-Take it
I’ll be Alright

SOAP:
Party in My Head
Late, Later on

Rox:
The Look
Fingertips (’93 version)
Cinnamon Street
Fireworks
Place your Love
She Doesn’t Live Here Anymore
Better Off on her Own
Crush on You
7Twenty7

I’d also be enchanted, if Mr. G gave the following ones a try:

First Girl on the Moon
Staring at the Ground
It Hurts

Looks like it was not an easy task for any of us ! I bet even Per is having some challenges deciding what to play. Gosh, he was SO many damn good songs !

I've made my mind in regards to opening/closing songs. Party Pleaser would be a great opener (you have my vote emilio !) and Sing Along a good last song. Even I'll be alright .. oh .. soooo many good songs to choose from, did I say it already ? Laughing

Okey, so mr G want's some ideas right? Okey, here is my wishing list:

From Party Crasher:
# Silly Really
# The Party Pleaser
# Gut Feeling
# Thai with a twist
# Perfect excuse

From Son of a Plumber:
# I have a party in my head
# Substitute (for the real deal) - this song could be followed by some Roxette songs in Gessle style.
# Hey mr DJ
# Are you an old hippie, sir?
# I like it like that

From TWATG:
# Reporter
# Stupid
# Kix
# I want you to know
# Saturday (atleast this should be included on the saturday concerts. right?)

Roxette songs "gessle-style"
# I was so lucky
# Vulnerable
# 7twenty7
# Church of your heart
# Fireworks
# Neverending love
# Crush on you

About the Rox songs... I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna hear I was so lucky with Per singing it. It is one of the most beautifull songs I have ever heard him sing. Atleast in english.
And one more thing about the rox-songs: Don't JUST stick to the big hits please. This IS a Per Gessle solo tour, so if you are going to do some rox-songs, why not take the opportunity to do some of the really good songs that never got to be singles?? Like 7twenty7 and Crush on you for example?
